September Family Vacation -- 2nd stop

When we left our family in Idaho, we headed north to Montana through Yellowstone Park. Brett's brother Jarrett and his family followed us up and spent part of the day with us there. After a bit of souvenier shopping and lunch at the Gusher, for old-times sake, we went into the park. Last time we were there, we didn't see much wildlife, but this time we were not disappointed. We saw several elk, some deer, a few herds of buffalo, a couple of coyotes, a wolf, and an eagle. At one point there was a buffalo on the side of the road right next to Kade's car window. We asked him if he saw it, and he turned his head non-chalantly to the side and back and very somberly said, "Yeah. I saw it." That wasn't quite the excitement we were hoping for. Jordan thought it was cool when we got held up on the road for quite a while because buffalo kept crossing. At dusk we said good-bye to our sight-seeing companions and headed out of the north entrance of the park into Montana for the next leg of our trip. I've decided that next time I go to Yellowstone Park I want to rent a cute little place and stay for a while in Mammoth. It was a great little place.
